Cat Walk

i wonder if the memories i have left over
will live on in someone even if i’m gone?
while i was thinking about that
before i knew it morning had broken
on the other side of the curtain
it shone in through the building’s cracks
but still reached me

oh, i can see the city with these eyes today, again
oh, i can hear your voice with these ears today, again
oh, i can sing out loud with this mouth today, again

hey you, mr.kitten over there
i held out my hand to you but
you looked over here for a second,
acted like you didn’t notice, and walked away

hey, hey, but, mr.kitten,
how far do you think you can go
before your little body freezes?
you understand, right?, i said sarcastically
and walked away

whether i’m crying or laughing, i trudge along uncaring
whether i’m crying or laughing, i trudge along uncaring

oh, i’m trying desperately to grab onto something with these hands today, again
oh, this chest goes up and down as i breath in and out today, again
i wonder if life will be the same whether in ten minutes or ten years

even if i’m gone
the train will still shake every three minutes
and the flowers will bloom beautifully
and the fighting won’t stop
coffee shops will open and kittens will trudge along
coffe shops will open and people will trudge along uncaring

but the memories i leave behind will live on in someone
but i know the memories i leave behind will live on in someone

oh, i can see the city with these eyes today, again
oh, i can hear your voice with these ears today, again
